Warehouse 30

Warehouse 30 is a repurposed warehouse complex on Charoen Krung Soi 30 in Bangkok’s Bang Rak district. Its former industrial sheds now hold galleries, independent shops, cafés and changing creative programmes near the Chao Phraya River.

What it is

Warehouse 30 occupies a group of former riverside warehouses in Bang Rak, close to Si Phraya Pier and Charoen Krung Road. The conversion keeps the industrial frame visible: long shed-like volumes, metal roofing, wide openings and generous interiors built for storage rather than display.

It is a compact creative complex rather than a museum or a conventional mall. Come for contemporary art, design-led browsing, coffee or a short pause while walking the Charoen Krung riverfront district.

Inside the warehouses

The mix changes, but the site is known for galleries, small retail concepts, cafés, work spaces and occasional film or event programming. Treat it as a place to explore without a fixed circuit.

Look first at the architecture itself:

  • The surviving warehouse proportions and loading-scale doorways.
  • Rough industrial materials set against fitted-out gallery and shop interiors.
  • The contrast between the enclosed sheds and the lanes around the complex.

Exhibitions and individual businesses have separate schedules, so the experience can be very different from one visit to the next.

Art and the surrounding lanes

Warehouse 30 sits within Charoen Krung’s creative district, where older commercial streets have gained galleries, studios and public art. The nearby lanes around Soi 30 and Soi 32 are part of a wider street-art area in Bang Rak.

Allow time to continue on foot toward the General Post Office and TCDC, or in the other direction toward Si Phraya and the river. This is a better fit for a slow neighbourhood walk than for an all-day destination in its own right.

Getting there and timing

Address area: Charoen Krung Soi 30, Bang Rak, Bangkok 10500. The complex lies a short walk inland from Si Phraya Pier.

By river: Use Si Phraya Pier as the most practical boat arrival point, then walk through the surrounding streets. Boat routes and timetables vary by service and day.

By rail: BTS Saphan Taksin is the nearest major Skytrain starting point; continue by taxi, ride-hail or a longer walk. A taxi or ride-hail is simplest in Bangkok heat or rain.

Hours: Do not rely on one complex-wide timetable. Galleries, cafés and shops set their own opening days and closing times; late morning through afternoon gives the best chance of finding several spaces open.

Useful approach

Entry to the shared complex is generally free, while exhibitions, events and businesses may set their own terms. Wear shoes suitable for uneven lanes and allow extra time if combining the visit with river transport or nearby galleries.
